MORRISVILLE, Vt. (NEWS10) -- A 24-year-old Morrisville man was arrested Sunday who was described as "armed and dangerous" after a domestic disturbance. SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Schenectady Police responded to the 1300 block of Crane Street for reports of shots fired on Saturday. Police say around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, they responded to the 1300 block of Crane Street for a shots fired report. Police say they quickly found someone who reported being shot at while waiting in the area in a car. Police secured the scene after seeing a bullet hole in the person's car. At this time, the case has been turned over to the Schenectady Detective Division for further investigation. COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- County Executive Dan McCoy said the number of drivers not stopping for school buses is still a major problem. “It’s staggering to me and it’s a lot worse," McCoy said. "We’ve been fortunate that no one has been hurt.”Now, they’re launching a new education campaign to promote the school bus safety program with new information materials and new signs around the county. Three months after the Lunar New Year fatal mass shooting in Monterey Park, local and state officials will announce on Monday legislation that they hope will prevent similar shootings in the future. Supporters of the three new bills include Assemblymember Mike Fong (D-Alhambra), whose district includes Monterey Park, the Prosecutors Alliance of California, Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón, Monterey Park Mayor Jose Sanchez and gun violence survivor LaNaisha Edwards. The United States is on pace to set a record for mass shootings.
