Driver killed after colliding with pole on I-805 SAN DIEGO -- A 63-year-old woman was killed after crashing into a pole on Interstate 805 Monday evening, authorities said.The collision occurred around 11:46 p.m. on I-805 near the State Route 94 transition ramp, Salvador Castro with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) said in a news release Tuesday.According to law enforcement, the woman was driving a white Nissan Maxima on I-805 northbound transitioning to SR-94 when her vehicle went off the roadway and crashed into a metal pole. 3.0-magnitude earthquake reported off San Diego coast The driver died at the scene due to major injuries, CHP confirmed. A female passenger was also removed from the car and taken to a hospital with major injuries. No injuries reported after Hawthorn Woods house fire CHICAGO -- A family will be displaced following a fire that destroyed their home Tuesday evening.According to the Lake Zurich Fire Department, a house fire broke out on the 10 block of Robin Crest Road in Hawthorn Woods just after 4 p.m. on Tuesday. Emergency crews respond to home explosion in DeKalb County The Lake Zurich fire chief told WGN-TV that no one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries are being reported, but a pet remains unaccounted for.SkyCam9 was over the scene just before 4:30 p.m. to find the house completely engulfed in flames. Not just a lump: 5 breast cancer signs many people don't know about but should (NEXSTAR) -- Most people know that a lump could be a tell-tale sign of breast cancer, but other common symptoms may fly under the radar. That's according to a recent consumer survey commissioned by the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center (OSUCCC). The survey found that while 93% of adults questioned identified a lump as a potential sign of breast cancer, less than half recognized several other symptoms of the disease. Over 1,000 people were polled online or via phone from Sept. 22-24 for the study.    Breast cancer rates are rising. But more women are surviving too  Ohio State experts said the results are concerning because most breast cancers do not present with a lump you can detect by touch.
