INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Ganassi, Ganassi, Ganassi. It was practically the only name mentioned as the four-car organization returned to Indianapolis Motor Speedway poised to defend last year’s Indianapolis 500 victory. Arrow McLaren Racing pushed them aside on the first day of Indy 500 qualifying. His late afternoon run of 233.947 mph was the third fastest four-lap qualifying effort in race history. He bumped new teammate Alexander Rossi from the top spot — a position he’d held nearly six hours. “It was pretty mind blowing how we found so much speed,” Rosenqvist said. “What a run. Just a fun time to be in an Arrow McLaren. We are definitely looking good right now.”When the gun fired to signal the end of the day, all four McLaren drivers were inside the top 12 and advanced into Sunday’s shootout for the pole. Ganassi also landed all four...

NORWELL — Isabel Bresnahan’s main focus at Saturday’s waterlogged South Shore Twilight Invitational was to maintain her form in the 400 hurdles on the slick Norwell High track. The Ayer-Shirley freshman did that and a whole lot more as she blitzed the field with a winning time of 67.38 seconds. Bresnahan not only clinched a gold medal but she was on the extremely short list of athletes who set personal bests in the rain swept meet. Bresnahan’s time bettered her school-record mark and left the young talent with a big smile.“I wasn’t in my head too much about it (school record),” she said. “I’ve never run in the rain before. It made my muscles tight. I expected a lot of wind but it wasn’t bad.”Connor Johnson had a day for himself in the 400 hurdles as well. The Bridgewater-Raynham junior and Southeast Conference champion in his specialty was just off his personal best as he held off North Quincy’s Jayden Francois (58.72)...

It addresses the constitutional violation that occurred on the border of districts 3 and 4, thus also resolving the “domino effect” that took place throughout the rest of the defunct map the City Council approved last fall, via a 9-4 vote, she said.“You look at that domino effect and ...
